I MISS YOU HAYLEY
Date: August 2010
I am the luckiest person in the world that Hayley choose me to be her mum
She was and still is the best thing that ever happened to me
Life was beautiful when she was in it
Hayley loved people and was a little show off
HAYLEY MADE ME LAUGH
She would always attract peoples attention -strangers would make a beeline for her and say hello
They would tickle her under the chin ,squeeze her cheek or hold her hand.
They would say –
What an angel
Are you looking at me? – you’re a nosey little girl you’re going to grow up and be a detective or spy!
This ones a wise old soul -definitely been born before
Ahh is’nt she cute
HAYLEY MADE ME PROUD
The doctors told me Hayley had a bad heart but she had the best heart of anyone I knew
She was braver than any adult
She nearly died at 2 weeks old but still tried her best to lift her head and look round her in Intensive Care
She did her best to smile despite being in so much pain
HAYLEY WAS MY HERO
But one thing I did’nt expect was all the challenges she would introduce me to
Hayley exposed me to the best and worst of people
She showed me how wonderful and how terrible life could be
I was’nt prepared for that
HAYLEY WAS MY TEACHER
Everyday since Hayley died I have been struggling with Birmingham Childrens Hospital to improve their patient safety
After a year I am finally making small steps
Hayley has taught me patience and strength and true commitment no matter how badly people treat you
I am constantly amazed how someone soo little and who was only here for such a short time
Could turn my life upside down and inside out
HAYLEY WAS SPECIAL
Hayley was my only child
She was part of me
I was there at the start of her life and held her hand while she died
Hayley was such a good child
I LOVED HER SO MUCH
I MISS YOU HAYLEY
